This is pure k@k and the quality is eye bleeding bad.
Can't believe a Naspers can't get this right dstv is not a cheap service one would expect stuff like this to be flawless.
It's shocking.
I know the CEO of Multichoice and have mentioned the poor streaming quality on even the fastest connections. Months ago, yet zero improvement.
They need to drop flash and move over to HTML5 and get a better CDN provider.
Disgraceful in 2016 when their users are not always near the decoder/TV.
My dad is a premium subscriber, but doesn't have a PVR. So he cant stream because of that. So nearly 1k a month, and you still have to have extras to be able to use the streaming service. Utter rubbish. For what reason exactly, is the PVR going to be used for while streaming? Its shocking how useless their streaming service is. I wonder how much mybroadband gets paid to write articles like this http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broad...ming-the-best-way-to-watch-sport-at-work.html
Randomly streamed SS channels off my iPhone most of yesterday, including the Boks Aus game, and the F1 this morning until the cricket started, with no issues.
Had one or two freezes during the F1 but that was my wifi rather than the SS app.
Streaming the SA Aus cricket now and also no problem so far.
Tried with the rugby. Jittery from beginning to end. My match ended 45 minutes after the match endedIt's so inconsistent - football streamed perfectly yesterday, last week, nada
Horrible forum that...Struggled to watch the rugby as well. More of us should post of the dstv forum, hopefully someone will listen.
Dave said it's greatHorrible forum that...
Is there a way to change the quality of the stream? I'm on a 8mb Capped account and my stream at times buffer and then jumps a few minutes ahead and then jumps back to what I already watched.... at times watching a show it will jump a few minutes ahead showing the video but sound is still behind. (sorry, not sure how to explain this)
