DSTV SuperSport Stream

South African quality service, everybody. Lets give DStv an applause for keeping "up" to the usual standards.

Murphy's Law. Now I also can't connect to a single channel on the Now app on my phone.

EDIT: Also can't login on the SS app. Well played DSTV.

Same story with all major sports events. Streaming doesn't work until well after the game's finished.

Which makes this streaming service useless. Why even bother with it if one can't use it to watch the game?

Yeah, someone needs to get dstv a bigger "out" pipe for their streams.

It's awful.

Cannot get anything but a grainy (480p at best) stream on 40mbps VDSL on either iPad, Laptop or iPhone.

Worst streaming sport experience for paying customers by far.

I can stream NetFlix off my iPhone/iPad on the app's "Unlimited" setting with no buffering at all, any time of day or night.

Try DSTV streaming through either the SS or Now apps during a big sporting event and nada - Either the app wants me to login again or spits out crappy errors about not being able to connect to the live stream or the server not being found or some other ridiculous horse****.

This nonsense has been going on for years now. Getting seriously tired of it. I'm hoping the Canadian GP tonight works, or I'll be forced to go to http://goatdee.net/

Ja, I had to stream the Springbok game from a site off shore .... which worked far better, AND was spot on up to date only a few msec behind live !

Does Supersport/DSTV Now, allow for multiple sessions logged in at the same time?

I am travelling to Cape Town for the next couple of weeks and my wife is in Joburg. So, I will be logged on with a different IP address at the same time as my wife. Is this allowed?

Only allows one. Well for me anyways.

A maximum of 4 devices on one account, with only one live at any one time ---- at least that is the way I understand it ...

The need for the PVR to be able to stream the content is so crap. My dad has a premium subscription, but still has to now get a PVR, and installer and pay R85 access fee, just so that he can stream online. Why cant this just be available to premium subcsribers irrespective of whether the have a PVR or not

I can watch on my cellphone, but not my laptop.

I keep getting this error:

We are having difficulties playing this video. Please login with your Connect ID and try again. If the problem persists, please contact us. Code: 3315 (299).

Have you rebooted your laptop? I have received that error a number of times after a browser or flash player crashes. It corrects itself after a reboot.
