I want a device with dip switches and no web interface. That way, once its working, it keeps working. NO GLOSS PLASTIC. The body should be billet aluminum, with one LED and max 2 buttons - dedicated power switch and reset button. 220 v power supply (internal transformer). Commands should be sent using the AT command set over RS 232 and hyper-terminal. ONE 10/100 Ethernet port. External aerial connection only, using standard (cheap) cable, connectors and aerial. Now we can start talking about contracts...

IF it's true that they wont offer uncapped with the new devices, then they are idiots/morons/gluttonous pigs. Really, they were supposed to make things better. From te beginning I was on Neotels side, making excuses for them and telling people that Rome wasnt built in a day - but neither was it built on a follow the leader (Helkom) attitude. Bestc omparison would be Sony of late - huge potential that was f*cked up coz of greed. W@nkers!

Sure sounds like they are limiting us from using products like Skype or any other type of VoIP :'(

GUYS GUYS GUYS AND GALS!!!

STOP GUESSING!!

NEOTEL IS TELSKUM'S BEACH AND THATS IT .............

Monday 3 November is finally here. Been waiting very patiently. Is the Rev A Router here yet?

I called them.

I suppose it makes no difference to me as I don't have coverage, and probably won't for a long time, I see the closest coverage to me is well over 10km away and when I type in my suburb they say it doesn't exist.

However I would like to know they have what I need in terms of devices so all I need to wait for is coverage...in 2015, although by then we'll be accessing the internet through chips in our brains, and my brain will still only have Lite coverage.

I also know they will have a lot more customers wanting to sign up once the device is available and I want to see what happens to the speeds of Neotel customers once that starts. I'm betting on sub-dial-up speeds.
