Don't have it anymore... gave it up for exactly this reason, NEVER used the phone.
But it was.

Location : Rustenburg
Line : 512k

Location = Port Elizabeth.
Line = 4mb

I only recently connected a phone to my DSL line .Only use pots side occasionally because, after all, I am paying for it.

4mb, but I only get between 1 and 2mb here (Port Alfred).

My girlfriend works from home and uses the line to make work related calls. I use skype and my cellphone. If it were up to me, there'd be an option for pure ADSL line rental alone. Before my girlfriend moved in, I had the line for over two years during which time I probably dialled out literally less than 10 times.

Multiples

We have...

1 x 1024 ADSL Line @ Home
1 x 1024 ADSL Line in Durban
1 x 1024 ADSL Line in CT
3 x 1024 ADSL Lines in Midrand

All these are used for ADSL ONLY- no faxes or phone calls on these lines

(We have 3 more ADSL lines which we use for fax lines as well)

Telkom ADSL - Helderberg

384k Need P2P for gaming but don't use the VOIP

Paying the extra line fee for a virtual ADSL line (its actually a switch), has always been a gripe of mine, have been paying it since ADSL started in SA...we basically paid the roll-out. All Telkom exchanges should be digital by now.

ADSL 4Mb service (currently syncing at 3072)
Never had a telephone connected since installation, except for line testing purposes.

DO have another line tho...prepaid.

ADSL only, use voice over IP and never touch the Telkom voice side of the line.

My line is with Webafrica and get my bandwidth from work, so Im making 12 payments a year to Telkom which = R1700, for nothing.

Line = 4mb syncing @ 3
