It is almost impossible to try and play for a draw you are putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. Morocco wil try and win and can score at any time and if they do you will need to score aswell. So just start by trying to score and win.
A draw would be a good result if it happens, but you don't go out there thinking lets just draw.

Scotland will lose if they sit back and defend 0-0

The best defense is a good offense. Your opponents can't score if they don't have the ball.

Cape Verde. Did play for a draw and managed it against Spain, which was great.

You fail to understand the intracacies of setting up for a draw. This is not rugby, there are a million and one formations and players to choose from in a squad of 26 and how the manager picks the team and how he sets them up is key. Playing for a draw is a thing and it is not completely unknown for a team to play with no strikers for example in a 4-6-0 formation. Flood the midfield, absorb the pressure and hope to counter and nick a goal that way. But when a point is needed, not conceding is more important than scoring.

And Scotland need a point.

Don't get me wrong, it's a horrible way to play football, but it is exactly how Cape Verde had their most famous result and how they kept Spain out the other night. Spain were moaning about it after the game., but if they'd set up in a 4-3-3 or something it would have been 10-0.

These are the realities of World Cup group stage football for the smaller teams. When it get's to the knockout rounds, then it will change somewhat.

Hahaha, I have noticed, there are a lot of South Africans who are proudly Proteas tiil I die and Bokke 4 life....
But when it comes to soccer/football then the ol'family album is whipped out and some heritage tracing is done, Oh look I have some Portuguese or Dutch in me, and then support accordingly.
