This makes a total mockery of this 10cent argument…..

Depends how much they shape you...

For R150 I'd rather just get 1gb from cell c. Not even R15 uncapped unshaped would tempt me into signing any contract with nashua mobile.

In what way? You obviously did not read the article

Xtreme Data offers subscribers unlimited access to email, browsing, social networking and instant messaging from their handsets at a fixed cost of R59 per month.
...
Customers will experience a decrease in download speeds once they have exceeded a threshold in their data usage for the month: 100MB for the Xtreme Data standard service and 400MB in the case of Premium.

And since this is Nashua, do you really believe there is any value to the consumer?

Did anyone else notice the glaring absence of the SGSIII from the list of devices to which this service can be provided?

The SIII IMO has more users than the entire list of phones.

What is the rationale behind this glaring omission?

Just askin'.

DaF*Q is this SMH they Cap You and block you whats worse than that article is the people that will say " Wow Great Deal"

yeah and i bet you get shaped to almost nothing, once you exceed the monthly threshold :wtf:
Data should just be free :D

Data is practically free for all intents and purposes. The fact is, we are getting badly ripped off.

XDS has a clearly defined fair usage policy (FUP), limiting users to speeds of 512kbps from the get-go and throttling them to 256kbps after using 100MB and to 56kbps after hitting the threshold of 160MB.
so when will Vodacom introduce this? NM's billing and accounting is straight from hell but I won't mind the package direct from Vodacom.

You're kidding, right? Those prices for those speeds are a total joke!
