FNB Connect or extra Vodacom data bundle?

Hi, a few months ago I upgraded from a Blackberry to a Samsung s3. I get 150mb/pm with my current contract. I thought it would be enough but it isn't. I saw an article on this site about FNB connect and wondered about how it worked.

Can I buy more data for my phone with fnb connect? Or should I go for extra data bundle on my already standard bundle with Vodacom?

(Side question: why is mobile data in South Africa so expensive?)

As it is Vodacom. I use 8ta 2+1GB R149, splitted for two months, R75p/m. Cell C is even cheaper in the case of higher bundles.

You can buy 3g from FNB connect @ a flat rate of 59c per MB.
