FNB mobile device stats surprise

I could swear I saw an article in this last week on MBB that Vodacom's claims 0% growth in Apple devices.. lol... so these FNB clients are all using old devices I guess..

How is that even remotely surprising considering they sold more ipads than all apple stores combined?
The ipad was meant to be the driver for their mobile banking app so it worked exactly how they planned it would.

Its all the Apple people checking how much they in overdraft :D

/runs

lol!
Look im an android fan but I have two ipads, the only reason I have them is because there are no android tablets that compete with them. It will change very soon but in tablets apple still wins.

Find it funny that there is only the Galaxy as an Android device. Nobody with any other droid phones or am I the only one accessing FNB with my HTC?

In tech world time all Apple products are old. When was the latest one released? Almost a year ago?

Edit: OK, just checked - iphone in Sept '12 and ipad Nov '12.

Interesting stats, though. FNB will have to make sure their services stay compatible with these devices for a long time.

ja exactly... vodacom is telling us theres 0 growth in apple, while fnb is telling us that almost all their mobile clients are using apple.

someone is telling porky pies

What does this mean for the app then? In terms of product management they seem to be all over the place.

And there I went for the HTC.

Honestly,I will tend to agree with..

...having played around with a colleagues iPad mini recently and finding the whole experience somewhat very smooth and fluid compared to other galaxy 7 inchers I have played around with.

This is FNB trying to deflect from the uproar about the new site. I would like to see the percentage split between mobile and the rest. It doesn't help for them to tell us that 60% of the mobile users are using iPads if there are only 100 people accessing the site from a mobile device. In all likelihood, that 60% iPad stat is probably only about 6% of the total people accessing internet banking.

Not really. People doing banking via an app will be higher LSM's, which are almost entirely dominated by the iPhone and iPad.

It is the same reason you see high Android device sales, yet low usage
