Free data with ADSL access coming from Vox

These are great prices for entry level consumers... Time to upgrade my grandfather from dialup ;)

It's not great prices at all. All they are doing is to paint a nicer picture to the exorbitant prices Telscum is charging for ADSL

R150 all inclusive 1gig broadband sounds pretty good to me, where can i get a cheaper deal?

Do you still need a Telkom phone line too for this Vox deal or is it wireless? If wireless, is it fast as dsl or suffer from latency like 3G?
 
saol has 384k all inclusive for R139 incl. 1GB data. but look at this offer from mweb all incl uncapped for R349--which one would you go for?

I really hope Telkom is starting to feel the pressure and will soon jump on the bandwagon of aggressive offers! last week, my friend (a Telkom customer) received a call from one of Telkoms sales rep trying to get him to assign up for an upgrade to get 3gb (inter) plus 3gb (local) for R 230 on a 384kbps line!!!

Same on you Telkom! when will you learn to give back to your subscribers???

Oh! I would.Um ok what's bigger uncapped or 1Gb? Oh ok R139 cheaper I'll choose that one.

The trick is to go for the R139 p/m deal and then buy MyISP Gigs for R20 per Gig. Or top up from SAOL for R29/GB. You have R210 to buy bandwidth before the price matched Mweb's uncapped offering (R349).

That ~10GB. (AFAIK it's not shaped liked Mweb's).

So for the smaller user it's bargain..

Why don't MyBB give the full details? Like Telkom (R152, what ever analogue line is) and Vox (R152 as well). Or am I missing something?

So this would cost you about R300 for 1GB at 384kbps?

R152 + R131 Telkom analogue line rental = R283
R283 for an Internet connection with 1GB of data is still expensive.

R139 includes the line rental of R152!! And you get 1GB bandwidth! (They obviously get the lines for cheaper from Telkom maybe R120 or R130) and pass on some of the savings to you.
And you could add other ISP details on the line. (I've been doing it..)
 
Hmm interesting I suppose it does actually save you quite a bit especially if you only want to browsing and I suppose gaming too

So you would only pay R139 per month? For an ADSL 384kbps line. That's it, only R139?
