Free local proxy for international browsing

I was expecting cybersmart 'free' where you get charged for the 'free' service. I havn't tried it out though. No need to

WOW! I only got in now and saw the server crashed... 28357 unique users connected, was the last thing the server recorded ! Saw that this thing spread like wildfire on the SA forums.

Will have to upgrade the server to a couple of servers to make this work... Will start to save for that :D!

Will keep you posted!

You know what would be cool, since it costs bandwidth to provide this service and u want to do it for free maybe only allow certain sites??(to reduce the load) e.g. gmail, msn, gtalk, live email, docs, reader, etc granted its not a lot but those are the handful u really want access to. facebook uhm.. yah maybe too.

make it paid i`ll pay.....
don't know about the other children on the site
besides, thinking of this logically it will never last..
to many South African okes getting ripped off on bandwidth cost .
and your company is going to find out sooner or later even if you the ADMIN

Good Lick in your endeavor..

Its an open proxy, by now most of the world knows about it.

No way that is just SA. No doubt your ip got posted on all those open proxy sites across the globe. Maybe if you found a way to limit access to SA IP addresses, or you made users register... it might work.

"I'm gonna sing the doom song now...Doom doom doomdoom doom doom doom.Doomdoom doom..."

OK, the proxy is back up... But I am trialing it with the guys at NewsHost.

Once the trial period is completed, I'll open the proxy for registration to you guys.

Hmmm ok!

Hopefully it will work like a bomb.

Btw is it members of Newshost or the staff there you trialing it with?
