Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

You would think there would be backup systems in place. This is a major outage. It's not like we have slow connectivity. We have none.

There is a solution... Can everyone please go to https://openserve.co.za/coverage and scroll down and register their interest to get openserve to come install in more areas in PE.

This is the best long term solution to the problem.

Get your friends and family in the area to fill it in as well if possible :)

Working from home is a PAIN when you need a stable internet connection. We have a backup MTN sim card that has saved our arses so many times. How our old copper connection was more stable than the current fibre connection is amazing.

I've got a DSL connection for backup, my network automatically switches over to DSL when the fibre goes down, the DSL has been super stable, not a single outage this whole year.

Would love to have openserve fibre considering they can keep the copper running so well.

70 drops on the fibre, and zero on the DSL in the last 2 days and 14 hours.

9:30 yesterday first report on website
14:00 yesterday logged to T3
16:15 today T3 is investigating

31 hours from reported to starting investigating
At this pace will only be fixed next year

Atleast i have internet for 50% of time

Wow. You have 50%. Mine is more like 15%.
