--The line card has been installed we are pending Tier 4 team to complete configurations and to see if services are restored and stable
--Team advised the clients may test and revert if services is stable

Still dead on my end since yesterday morning. Time to look at something with fallover backup built in as my existing fibre setup isn't cutting it.
 
Update: 02/01/2025 08:23am:
-- We have identified a bug that is causing the impact and we are going to upgrade the 2 Junipers in CPT. We are currently in planning for the upgrade. More updates to follow.

-- The fault is still being investigated. There is currently a joint troubleshooting with the hardware vendor. We are awaiting an update on the outcome of the investigation.
-- Sourcing an update from the teams. Feedback will be shared as soon as possible.
-- Investigation still ongoing. Fault has been escalated internally on juniper side.
-- Teams are in the background continuing with isolation and resetting individual routing instances that are showing flooding with the aim of reducing service impact.

@Frogfoot Fibre Please remove uninterrupted from you X(twitter) bio. That is false advertising.
According to them only some customers in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape are impacted. They will cherry pick the data to make their arguments. It is all percentages.

Yes, this is silly now. I don't want to know how many 'replacement' routers a certain ISP attempted to sell.

I am not happy. I did experience some anomalies on the line during the week running up to this incident.

Bad service. Bad marketing. Bad pricing.
 
They sure did bid buffering farewell.

Hard to have your streaming services buffer if they give 404 pages in the first place.
