Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

Outage in Walmer again, confirmed with support. No ETA for fix.

Edit: FF website status page just updated and says it's a PE wide outage

Going to be a long day... Load shedding, now no internet, and load shedding again tonight.
 
Frogs pulling the piss again? Good ol' Char-low.

Nothing on their site but I can't get an IP address...
 
Outage in PE again it appears.

Phoned @Frogfoot Fibre and the lady said I must go through my ISP which is ridiculous as it takes forever to go through the ISP (and wait for them to contact FF) when this is the exact same failed to obtain DHCP error that always occurs when Frogfoot goes down in PE...

I always used to phone FF support and they would check for me in a few seconds and the person would often have the status page updated a few minutes after the phone call...
 
Mine was back up about 8 minutes ago. Wonder what has to happen that causes a PE wide outage? We've had a few already... Haven't kept count but it's nearing around 10 outages since 1 Nov 2019 for me in Walmer
 
I am sure it was related to the electrical fault that VOX tweeted, afaik VOX uses frogfoot for their business fibre clients here in PE
 
Im having 100% packet loss :P wish they would sort out the battery backup for load shedding
 
We went off on FF last night at about 10pm and only came back at 4:30am

There are quite a few in progress maintenance things on their website
 
Yeah I checked my router logs when I got up this morning and had constant disconnects overnight. Not happy with Frogfoot at all. Thinking I must bite the bullet and rather go the more expensive SADV route.
