I cannot wait to dump useless Afrihost And Frog Foot.
2 of 4 lights are on the Frog Foot connection.
Afrihost says that a technician is needed and there are none that work over the weekend on home lines.
I HATE FIBRE, GIVE ME BACK RELIABLE ADSL
The technicians are dispatched by Frogfoot not afrihost, also Frogfoot in PE is horrendous so don't go blaming the ISP when it's clearly an FNO issue spread across multiple areas

I understand fully that the technicians are dispatched from Frog Foot.
I am shooting Afrihost down because their technical support used numerous times has been absolutely dismal and slow.
Just another weekend with no internet, ADSL failed less in 8 years than this fiber junk fails in 2 weeks.
And Telkom service was excellent compared to Afrihost

When we logged a call with Afrihost, we were told numerous times that as we are "fibre to the home", they could not dispatch a technician over weekends so wait till Monday.

And Afrihost support is like the post office...
Home user so no support over weekends.

Apologies for the late reply.

We do provide support afterhours and weekends however when there is a physical fault with the fibre line we are unfortunately held by the SLA times the Fibre Network Operators provide. These are usually up to 3 business days.

About right, home products are always best effort.

Afrinatic, while you are now quoting SLA's, how many times a month are you allowed drop connections and what is the quoted up time per month.
Telkom never hid behind an SLA and their product was infinitely more reliable.
Going to have to buy 3G data now as my fibre is still down (72 hours so far)

Anyone else getting constant disconnects? about every 30mins or so the connection drops then comes back a few seconds later...

Asked what about three 3 day SLA, silence.
Using big words like escalate and priority, net result fibre is still down.
My worst decision of 2020, getting fibre.
Both Afrihost and Frog Foot are pathetic.

I'm sorry for the downtime and the inconvenience you are experiencing.

The fault was reported immediately to FrogFoot and that was on Saturday. Frogfoot has assured us that a team will be in your area to assess and action the repair.

Once again I do apologise for the inconvenience.

You should ease up on the ISP, FF is the issue here, the ISP has ZERO control over the FNO. I highly doubt your experience would be any different with any other ISP IMHO.

Your statement should read: Avoid Frogfoot. This is the whole reason this thread is here in the first place. Frogfoot suck, as even when your line gets fixed, you'll still have packetloss and random pings.

I'm sorry you feel that way but we have provided all the info we got from Frogfoot to you. Frogfoot assured us that they have a team in your area today to attend to the fault.

We don't have any waiting time for call backs, whatsapp, inbound calls and tickets since yesterday.

We are hopeful that the fault will be resolved today. Apologies for the downtime and inconvenienced caused.
