Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

I was close to the MSAN and had 40mbps DSL for around 6 years in PE.

Maybe 3-4 outages during that entire time.

Can't beat that.

3-4 outages is typically 2-3 days on FrogFoot in PE.

Abysmal.
For what it's worth - The NLD5/6 unreliability is affecting more than just Frogfoot, other FNO's along the coast also got the same issue - not surprising considering that fibre is only laying 15cm deep in some places

For what it's worth, Frogfoot is the only one with this many outages, packet loss and latency issues

I think that the poor customer support from FF is also driving users to vent their frustrations via the forum instead of just dealing directly with FF
I tried. Logged calls with Vox. Then started logging calls with Frogfoot as Vox said it wasn't them. Got told to log calls with Vox.
Tried to call them once and got as far as reception.
I've become very ambivalent. Hell, even my kids know to restart everything the minute the Internet drops if they're happening to stream Netflix.

Hopefully Openserve solve this issue here and I'd happily jump back onto their infrastructure. They seem to at least have the backbone to run things properly no matter what other issues they may have.

Yeah until all of you FF customers jump over! You will bring it to its knees

Seemed to work just fine for ADSL. Openserve will probably scope correctly for a mass take-on of new customers. That doesn't seem to have been the case with Frogfoot.

This is by design.

Groundhog day and endless circular reference/loop of frustration.

Allows FF to get away with unethical business practices and shockingly low levels of customer service.

At the end of the day because the customer never gets anywhere they are not held accountable. Ever.

Funny how this is the case, yet the pitchforks and burning wagons are only in this thread ...
Well, then it makes you think, right? Are the other FNOs that bad? Or are their issues just not as often or serious?

Out of everyone I know that has fiber in PE, only the ones on FF are moaning on Whatsapp groups as well
Same in George where I have family who live there. In areas with only FF as the option, there are apparently tons of moans on the WhatsApp groups.
So much so my family have decided to stay on Telkom ADSL!

Pretty much sums up the status quo.

I don't doubt other FNO's have issues but they're not remotely in the same league as FF.

In the Telegram group I'm part of the people already know. They blame FF directly, not even their ISP anymore.

Logging calls doesn't seem to make a difference anyhow.

Once they jump then the line will be stable
You joke. Since I had rain installed here, FF hasn't gone down once. Sure, the latency is terrible and speeds are sloth-like during the evenings, but it's still somewhat usable.

But if I dare cancel rain I can be sure the outages will return. Much like how every time I uninstall Load Shedding Notifier from my phone, a few days later, we get word of LS returning.

TL;DR: Y'all are welcome:ROFL:

This is still happening . Around 80 drops within 2.5 hours .
I have logged a ticket with Afrihost .
Anyone experiencing this issue ?
