I have not, in the whole time that I've had my Cell C speed stick, been able to get through to the Call Centre ONCE...

The menus are terrible to navigate and there isn't an easy option to get support on technical problems. Actually, there is NO option!

I just held for ten minutes, gave up and put the phone down. And in the mean time my "WHOOOOSH" connection is a bit more "pleh" than "Woosh".

Very very frustrating...

Press 9 at the first menu to get through to an agent.

I swear VC is paying people to tarnish the Whooosh on these forums... There is absolutely no shortcoming WHATSOEVER in CellC as compared to the abbysmal service/price/attitude of the other operators. Its so easy to fire off blame at a company at least TRYING to offer value. But go figure.. last time I insulted VC on these forums I got banned. So there must be a finger in the pie somewhere.

I could do that, but unfortunately the service rep at the shop isn't very clued up. It took me about 5 minutes to explain to her what I what I was looking for when I was trying to buy the router from them.

The point is that the Call Centre should be able to help me. I should be able to get through to them in less than 10 minutes and it should be easy to get to the support option in the menu instead of going through 10 other menus first.

But then "should" and "is" are two completely different things, eh?

Just very disappointed with their Call Centre, is all.

Don't get me wrong, please. The actual connection is fantastic. I'm very very happy with it. Just frustrated that I can't get through to get help.

Other than that I am VERY happy and no, I don't work for Vodacom or MTN. Do you work for Cell C? :)

I wasn't bad-mouthing them or blaming them for anything, just expressing disappointment in their Call Centre. This is not the first time that I couldn't get through to them. The last time, when I was shopping for routers, I had to phone about five different numbers, got put through to 3 different people each time and eventually just gave up and put the phone down. So it's not just one time whinge.

The connection itself is insanely awesome. It was connected to EDGE and wouldn't pick up the 3G signal this morning, but it seems to be back now. So I'm a happy camper again.

And NOTHING is worse than Telkom's Call Centre... :)

I had a thought of starting a new thread but thought i could vent here.
I, for the first time, decided to take a contract with Vodacom direct (they have a nice special for Iphone 3GS).
On ordering i was told there was stock and devlivery would have been yesterday (Thursday).

My issue was, for the life of me, i cant get hold of them to see whats the status.
I have phoned like 20 times, chose option 2 (get status of ...) and each time it says "Call centre not available".
And i am not even a customer as yet. Pathetic.
I then decided to try option 1 (Sales) and got thro on the third time (even still they dont help).

I guess all these operators are devils, i am with Autopage and MTN and have not had major hassles - so i rather stick with them.

LOL, yah, look, Vodacom's customer service is not much better, but at least I can get through to someone there. :)

I've sent Cell C four emails with questions since I got my Speed Stick (been about two/three weeks now) and they haven't answered a single one. I got an automated response back telling me about their system upgrades, and that was it - nothing more.

So my frustration is not unfounded. They've been slacking on their customer support and I'm annoyed by that. I love my connection, as long as it works and I don't have to phone them :)

Hey DM. No worries, it came right just after lunch time, so I'm good for now. Thanks for the response and for getting back to me though.

Don't worry, if the product&serivice is good people will buy it, but if people are having problems let them speak out.
