I noticed that Telkoms fibre coverage map suddenly updated with large sections of Newton Park covered. Checked packages and its for Vuma/SADV lol. If you cant beat em join em

SADV is active in Newton Park, Frogfoot is busy not sure what their activation date is. SADV offering max 100MB lines.

I'm already on Frogfoot. Been on for a while now. Just found it interesting that Telkom are selling products on SADV. They have really given up on fibre :(

Are you north or south of Cape Road, north of Cape Road (down towards Shirley) Frogfoot is not active yet.

Anyone still on Openserve FTTH in PE? Its very quiet in here (good thing probably)

How has the stability been lately?

Does Openserve handoff to the ISP's in CT for PE and whats the latency like

Here's some of my tests when I still had Openserve FTTH last year(I was handed off in CPT):
An interesting test to 1.1.1.1

Edit: Let me know if you guys want me to test specific IPs to compare the 2 FTTH networks (Openserve line will be cancelled at the end of the month)

I'm moving soon and have the option of either using Vumatel or Openserve. Can anyone currently on either of these networks post screenshots of speed tests to Cape Town and Johannesburg? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I am on Frogfoot...the whole experience has been terrible with their dropping of connections last year.
Any idea what SADV are like?

Hi guys. Is anybody here on Metrofibre? I'd like to hear people's experience with the infrastructure and how it has performed here in PE. If you could attach speed tests as well that would be super. Thanks.

Hi all,

I searched and couldn't find anything related...

I'm looking at signing up for fibre and my area is covered by metrofibre.
From some discussions, ISPs can opt to have their PE connections terminated in JHB or CPT.

I play a lot of league of legends, so am looking for an ISP that terminated in CPT, as going via JHB would add latency.

If anyone in PE is on metrofibre, i would greatly appreciate if you could post results from this site:

(i only need to know times to EUW server)

Thanks in advance

My brother has MFN to his house in a complex. Pings are low to CT, on average speedtests will reach slightly above 50Mbps up and down, stability is good and they've had no connectivity issues.

Thanks. Nice to hear. Have hardly come by any feedback of MFN in PE as 90% of people seem to be on Frogfoot. The general sentiment toward Frogfoot in PE seems mostly negative so I can only hope MFN is different.

I'm on MFN in summerstrand, no issues touch wood. Leaps ahead of vuma or whatever they call themselves now. Brother is on FF in walmer. He has no connection at the moment...

We don't really have a choice. Some random company trenched the hell out of my verge and left 2"deep ditch for 7 weeks.
They eventually finished up but my verge was destroyed. Frogfoot did it neater and I went with them...and due to their issues last year and some times this year, will be ditching them for Vumatel who took over the first FNO who trenched.
Frogfoot are good until they have issues related to capacity. Then it's horrible.
