I chose the black because I like black . I also think the white might get dirty very quickly especially the back with it's leather like surface. You'd also probably want a white cover to accentuate the tablet itself which would also start getting dirty very quickly. Too much hassle for me honestly, very happy with the black.

I took the white option. Love it!

Looks much cleaner and fingerprints tend to show less compared to the reflective surface of the black.

I wish they made a metalic grey version like the Galaxy Note 2. The white tends to get dirty over time while black shows off fingerprints very easy and needs to be wiped off. A metalic grey version like the Note 2 would have been really nice. You would hardly see fingerprints or dirt/smudges on it. It was like a compromise between the black and white editions

It would have also looked really nice with the silver edges.

Actually haven't seen the white, but seen a white note 3. Choose the black simply because I use a black s4 so thought some uniformity would look good.

Anyway, had this for exactly a month now and can tell you that I absolutely love it. The only lag I experience is now n then on the home screen but apps work perfectly even with using multi windrow with mini own windrow apps open. On that note(lol), I love the multi window feature and use it almost every time I use the tablet.

Also just on a side note, I would highly recommend dashclock for those who don't have it. Really works well with a large screen. Second thing is to get the Microsoft remote desktop app. Works flawlessly, and can remote desktop your windows 8 pc, and there you have a windows slate(well kinda)

The screen uses a Wacom digitiser. Wacom is the manufacture of the best professional drawing tablets around. The s-pen itself has over 1000 levels of pressure sensitivity on it.

If you use apps such as Layerpaint or Sketchbook Pro, you can turn out some excellent stuff.

Layerpaint works exactly like photoshop. It uses layers as well. The saved file can be saved as a photoshop file and worked on a pc if you want to continue editing.

Im no expert on drawing or creating art, but you can have a look at youtube for videos on this. People post videos of themselves doing art on their tablets.

It also depends on the apps you get for this.

I use s note and quick memo a lot. Normal note taking and works well. Will try the art/drawing apps listed above and see if u have a hidden artist somewhere in me

I'm leaning towards the black unit. Once I have mine I'll go case hunting - looking for a firm / stiff natural tan leather sleeve so I can use the device without the hindrance of a case when removed.

I've been a long-time Wacom user on the PC, so I'll be doing art on the Note 10.1 for sure! As far as I can tell from Internet research, other Wacom tablet pens will also work on the Note 10.1, you just won't be able to stow them. The benefit of that is they are longer and thicker, sitting better in the hand for drawing and such.

I'm really looking forward to this tablet!

Does anyone else's Note have a 'bubble spot' on the back on the top left.
You don't see anything, but if you run your finger along the back, there is a section that kinda pops in when pressed.

Picked one of these up for my Parents. Mother has absolutely no clue as to how it works. But from my thoughts, the screen resolution is bloody amazing. It completely blew my mind how bright the screen is. Somehow mother manages to burn her battery out in a day.

I got the P605 in white today from Vodacom on contract as an upgrade to my iPhone 3GS.

I'm writing this using the S-pen which does an excellent job of writing and sketching. The screen is truly amazing!!

I'Il now be on the lookout for a leather sleeve.

This tablet has a very nice feel when holding it.

I think you should query that with the store. Mine doesn't do that. They could swap it out for you. It could get worse over time if it's a defective screen.

If it's with MTN and more than 7 days. Go to the the Midrand MTN repair centre. I got a replacement the same day.

I'm using my P605 as a phone. All contacts transferred from iPhone via Gmail.

By default the tablet answers calls in speaker phone mode and the headset that came with it has a microphone. Call clarity using either is very good.

I'm considering a bluetooth headset.

Its the P601 and it doesnt come with any data.
MTN has the P605 with 500MB for R10 more.
