- Filled the online form 4 people called me and all said there is no stock but will confirm and call me in 10-20mins did not get a call back from a single one of them, went in store and they had 2 units left

Try Evetech - generally got good service from them and usually about the best price on stuff.
 
Also had no issue when I bought from them.

Haven't had an issue where there was an rma/warranty request so can't really comment on the thread referenced.

I don't think Telkom includes the 100mins. Just Telkom to Telkom minutes.

As per the deal page its:

  • 1GB data
  • Extra 30GB Telkom Data (10GB x 3 months)
  • Free Whatsapp calling and messaging (2GB FUP)
  • Free calls to over 6 million Telkom numbers (3 000 minutes FUP)
  • Free WiFi at Telkom Hotspots
  • Free SMSs (50 SMSs per day)
So I'm guessing you will be billed for other calls..

Seems buying is not the issue, but after-sale is, so tread carefully.

It is ported numbers, one can not tell by looking at the numbers alone anymore. You will have to know the other end's provider or simply hope for the best...

Vodacom gives a tone when dialing a number that looks Vodacom but isn't. Not sure what the other networks do.

It also does not say if this is the 4GB or 6GB version.

But seriously good value for money. This is a flag ship phone, and a damn good one at that.

I ordered mine form Telkom a few days back. Still waiting for that call. Now I don't know if I should rather go for deal.
