I am looking for a MiFi modem with optional LAN input so that I can create a WiFi network from either my SIM card (not 3G dongle) or my wired Internet connect. Does such a device exist? All I'm seeing are 3G routers with Ethernet ports but not not dongle-less MiFi with optional LAN input. Thanks.

3G routers usually have lan out ports, not sure why you want internet ports, unless you are aiming for 3G failover.

Do do need a 3g dongle but this thingy got a lan port and it creates a wireless network for up to 8 devices. The rechargeable battery supposedly last 4 hours. if battery flat it can be run from PC USB port.

Good idea for ASUS Nexus 7" tablet for portable Internet.
