do i HAVE to go through the mission of contacting Microsoft?
...it's not that hard to pick up the phone and call them.

you have no idea ponder - there's no way of getting through to a human, everything's automated and the list of codes on my tower is endless so i never know which number to enter and i'm constantly being referred back to the previous menu. not that i'm ungrateful for your reply - if that's the only route i'll have to take it![]()

:erm: the last time i needed a disk for a client with a valid winows licence they were happy to sell me a disk for R50+courier.... (2years ago)MS won't give you a new disk, even if can provide proof of purchase. Simplest solution would be to download a disk, and just reuse your key.

they asked me to scan the licence in & forward it to some email they provided...
If you do not have a license key, then you need to buy the full version (or install another pirated version), depending on your social responsibilities and available cash flow.
