Help Pooky Make Money

Dude, you can paint like that and you working for R20 an hour?

Sheez, stay away from IT and pc's if you can, that's for people who are not creative!

Work out costs for various canvas sizes and give a rough estimate - I would also commission one or two pics depending on costs
 
Not bad Pooks, Send a copy of the Zuma poster to the municipality, government etc. They love this kind of thing. I had a Neighbour a few years back. he was a freelance artist. He painted (Mandela) and other officials for a living. Also the big five. :whistle: (Soccer is comming and so is the tourists) The Government kept him busy and he made more moola doing this art thing (exactly as you posted with the Zuma facial) that I could earn in a management position as an engineer in the industry.
 
yeah, pooky, it seems your creative brain has destroyed your business savvy ;). Dude, you are one of the few that have an outrageously unfair talent. As a result, I really suggest you get to start studying art (fine arts please) part time at a University (it would only do you well!), and then for money, create a website where you advertise doing things like Wedding paintings, Birthday paintings, Anniversary paintings, Special events etc.

You set it up so that either they can send you a photo, or you go to the event and take the photo yourself (given that the place isn't too far). You offer a range of canvas sizes, and then proceed to paint ;). You can make serious money off this pooky :).
 
Hey Pooky, brilliant work dude. I'm sure all the people slagging you off in the start of the thread didn't know you were gonna pull out an ace from your sleeve! :p

Depending on your prices, I'd love to get a painting from you.
 
If I had place to hang a painting, I'd consider ordering one... could you paint Helen perhaps? :P

EDIT: I just finished reading the thread:o. Pooks is very talented. +1 on the university thing. Also paint some stuff to sell to tourists. Hawk around the stadiums. Their foreign currency can afford a lot;)

Hectic. I thought that they were photographs. I'm pretty sure that you can make some decent money doing paintings for people. I know of a guy who did his phd in computer science and now paints full time because it pays much more.

Make sure you register "Pooky's Paintings" asap! ;)
