Hisense Q8600 Thread

Found a bug in these Q8600's. Literally a bug. Lodged between the LED panel and the outer "protective" plastic. At first thought it was some dirt. Anyone else had this what is the recourse you think? Panel obviously not sealed correctly.
I would return it if its still within its exchange period. That would drive me insane having to see that everyday.

What is exchange period. Going to contact them anyways. Screen has what can best be described as blotches/patches all over it. Can clearly be seen on white background.

If I understand what you are explaining, that is called DSE (Dirty Screen Effect) It is very well documented on the Full Array back-lit QLED TV's from Hisense, and is most noticeable on a uniform grey screen.

Usually within 7 days of purchasing is the exchange period, but may differ from supplier to supplier.

Yup that's it. Is there recourse for this? TV 2 years old and it has been getting progressively worse.

Any Q8600 owners experiencing any issues with the Youtube app recently? I am on the .L1115 firmware and since on this firmware I noticed quite a bit of lag on the Youtube app and odd handling of 4K video where it would start to buffer halfway through the video for no reason and just staying buffering inevitably. A few times the TV had shut itself down from this state as well. Something is up with this firmware.

Do you have a link to the new firmware?

I'm on some old school pre-COVID firmware, but all the apps get updated in the background.

Does anyone else with a Hisense 55" Q8600 have very laggy wireless mirroring?

Nope, mine seems fine. I don't use my mirroring often though as I have a Google TV device that I use with the TV instead of the Vidaa OS.

I have th 65" and it works fine with no lag at all. I have ethernet to the TV

3 years later and I'm getting ghosting in static images and lines on light images suddenly

Anyone else had the same?

That's unfortunate. Ours was fine. Sold it last month and replaced it with a projector, but it had no issues.
