Maybe SpaceX seeing you're in the bundus...? If you wanna commit, I would first wait for our beloved government to sort out the forced BBBEEE stuff that they're imposing on SpaceX.
Never thought I’d complain again, but this is getting really bad. I already have an MTN sim and wondering if there data only plans that I can switch too? I am looking for a month to month option. Please note: I am on a farm with no physical address, so Supersonic/Afrihost won’t work for me. Can someone make any suggestions? Here is a screenshot of my current speed. I think it might be congestion. Also it lilooks like MTN roaming isn’t working any longer.
I posted 2 screenshots. Notice the difference in speed from about 2 week’s ago.
I'm in Fixed LTE area but struggling with speeds due to a congested tower. I have spoken to a consultant on Tuesday that was going to provide me with Gps coordinates for CellC towers in my area so that I can try an external antenna but I'm still waiting. I don't know why the position of the towers are such a big secret. I'm not going to steal the tower.

Have you looked at one of the MTN My Choice packages? I'm not sure whether you can get them on SIM only month-to-month contracts - you would need to ask MTN. The MTN Home WiFi bundles will only work on their Fixed LTE network in one of the approved routers mentioned below. I think that these contracts are available month-to-month but you may need to purchase a new router from them as part of the deal.
I suppose if they wanted to be nice they could do something similar but consolation prize is they at least rolled the existing data over. now we wait till the next bill to see if everything is fine

Otherwise MTN has just launched the Bozza Gigs prepaid bundles but these only work on their Fixed LTE network which might not be available in your area? The Fixed LTE packages can only be used in one of the following Huawei B525 B535 B612 B618 B818 or ZTE MF286 routers. I've had a Cell C SIM connected to this service for about a week now, and as a backup it's probably worthwhile me getting 10GB every 2 months. However, as a primary LTE service, don't think I could count on it ; most I got (in the beginning) was about 14 Mbps ; on 2 occasions, pings have been in the 50 - 60ms range.

ISP: Cell C
Ping: 44ms
Download: 6.52Mbps
Upload: 7.3Mbps
Also, the inflexibility of not being able to switch back to 3G for fallback puts me off, as is the case with Telkom -
more options with Telkom LTE to keep a connection going in times of trouble with the various frequencies.
It happened last week when there was a power outage in other parts of PE, and our Telkom LTE connection maintained 3G for most of the day, while the Cell C one was "dead in the water" + MTN Fixed LTE also doesn't allow for 3G use.
Switched to home connecta flexi, bought a bundle and getting 0.83mbps. Band 1 no longer working can only use band 3. This package is heavily throttled! Its not worth your time.
My speed has dropped down to 10 Mbps. What's interesting is that if I download on MTN SuperSonic, while my Cell C is downloading at 10 Mbps, MTN SuperSonic peaks > 100 Mbps, and then dries up the Cell C download to like 1 Mbps. I'm guessing the tower I use doesn't have much bandwidth.
Edit: I tried with a second MTN SIM - the same thing happened, although MTN SuperSonic dropped (80Mbps), and allowed the prepaid MTN SIM to reach 25 Mbps.

Yeah Cellc is not prioritized on the MTN roaming at all.
I saw the same. Cellc speed can be 50Mbps but then I run a speedtest on my MTN sim right next to it same tower because it has the same bands and cell id and the Cellc speeds drops quickly and MTN goes up.
I'm sure the roaming deal Cellc has with MTN does not guarantee Cellc users bandwidth on a tower sort off like a best effort type thing.
Does anyone else have experience of it working outside of the listed addresses? I am 5 houses away from coverage, so plan to give it a try come August when I'm out of contact with Vodacom.
