How do you keep yourself warm in winter?

I have a highish tolerance for cold, but I stay indoors mostly.

I sleep with the window open and fan on even in winter.

You have also done what we did, have the chimney/flue run in the house, most people take it out a wall and run it mostly outside meaning they lose heat coming off the chimney/flue. Ours has adjustable air flow so when we head to bed I put an extra piece or two of wood, turn the air flow down and there are still a few coals in the morning with the house around 13 - 14 Deg C above the outside temperature.

Electric Blankets

The AC's do push load but they're inverters so they don't hit us too hard. Electric Blankets mainly before bed.

Yeah I do the same and the fireplace is still warm to touch in the morning. I can def feel a massive difference with the whole area being warm.

I do also think great insulation in the ceiling helps retain the heat well. Even though the fireplace is in the centre of the house the heat makes its way to the bedrooms during the night which is great.

At the moment the gas heater is gathering dust in the corner.

Insulation is a must, I still need to do our living area but bedrooms and bathrooms have 150mm of insulation in the roof, I also make sure most windows are closed, open ones are open slightly, curtains closed, blinds closed, doors to rooms not used closed, etc. I sometimes use our gas heater in the morning if it has been particularly cold at night and it gets used should we not be homee early enough to make a fire.
 
Warm clothes, blankets, body heat, hot water bottles and when it's time to bring out the big guns... gas heater.

Like Summer I wear almost nothing warm in Winter, the exception when I am going out in public to look normal. I have warmed up to the cold, but I do have a threshold, but hardly ever do I keep the house warm.
 
Other. Warm clothes. No heaters.

If only. I went to get one, but missus thought price was exorbitant :( and that was where it was killed off. I still think this would make a massive difference in heating of the house as a whole.

This one was 22k including installation, I can already see its going to be waaaaay cheaper than gas. Hope you come right :(
