I have gas heaters even one of those giant patio ones but very seldom use them, electric blanket on my bed 'cos getting in a cold bed is so 1928, I dress warm and take a blanket to the couch if I'm that cold.

Have an electric blanket, put it on the bed in winter but never turn it on, just to insulate the mattress.
