The truth of education is that once you get it you will be like thousands of black South Africans disappointed at the ANC and go work in the U.K.

That still wont he enough until some 40 years into the future when the first taxed graduates retire and the entire base pays the tax. It's no different than having to pay for your own kids/grandkids education. You're just doing it in smaller amounts over a longer period of time.

Maybe for you to understand that formal study posted, you need common sense. What had been burnt at Wits? And as for preventing people who want to study from studying, that's not a thing. I for one am almost done with the course material given to us in most lectures what's stopping people from studying just the same?

Oh and I see you didn't even notice that I'd BEEN gone.

Yes, I don't support the graduate tax thing at all.

I had to borrow vast amounts to pay for my studies, and repay it over a period.

My dad/mom also contributed to the extent that they could.

NSFAS should just be extended, and more controls set up to make sure that people repay.

This isn't Sweden, we have a miniscule tax base.

Too much of an entitlement attitude here.

In the USA students have to take out massive loans in order to complete their studies.

What makes the students so special here, that they need to get benefits only available in a very few wealthy social democracies ?

Free up to secondary level, fine. Tertiary you have to pay.
 
Oh, and decolonised education isn't of value to anyone.

If you want that you should go to a special private institution (one wouldn't be able to call it a university as educational standards wouldn't apply), that gets zero subsidies from government.

Sammy, you only care about the students. You do know we have millions of poor South Africans which are not students, right?

We should channel money towards basic education, feeding schemes for under-nourished children, clean water and basic sanitation for the millions of poor citizens.

We should not bow to the students just because they shout the loudest.

As I said, we can look at free tertiary education one day then we are a developed country.

Well if those who used NSFAS paid it back I'm sure the missing middle can be included.

Even those with parents that can afford it might look into NSFAS, if they're the independent type. Paying for your education makes you appreciate it more.

But that defeats the objective. The objective is to get Free education. Not to PayBackTheMoney.

A graduate tax still ensures you're paying for it but if much less of a burden on the individual.

You are shifting the goalposts once more, from "what had been burnt?" to "police investigations are still to be completed" to "doubt the perpetrators were students".

Just admit that some of your fellow protesters are vandals and arsonists instead of making these weak excuses all the time.

Ok ke what has been burnt by #feesmustfall students? Would have thought your small mind would get the question in its original form. Oh and btw, that April protest had next to no support from the FeesMustFall protesters. Calling them fellow protesters is highly misleading especially since the same people from that protest want nothing to do with this one. Goes to show their protest had nothing to do with students or fees but rather some EFF agenda especially with the deliberate bringing of non student EFF members onto campus.

Your assumption that none of the student protesters have been involved in any acts of violence has no concrete evidence to support it. On the contrary, the balance of probability supports the conclusion that student protesters have been responsible for various acts of arson, vandalism, and criminality. And you're blinded by your love of the FeesMustFall movement to acknowledge the obvious. You are deluded.

Uhm. You're talking about the protesters which are #feemustfall students. If you want to use the word students, fine, then it wasnt students, nick picker. They are interchangeable.I thought you'd troll harder this time.

It's actually gone no further than you accusing the movement of arson and me pointing out that none of that is verifiable because no. 1 the protests were over. no 2. Considering that tiny sections of an already tiny EFFSC were equal in number if not outnumbered by non student EFF members says the probability is of it being non students or a 50/50 chance of either.

I find every single conversation with you to be a grand waste of time. I've fed the troll, its time for it to go away.
