Huawei Mate 20

Hi guys, need some help. Bought a mate 20. Didn't get invoice. Now the phone is acting irratic and the hepatic feedback is hit and miss. Do i nees original documents to go to the walk in huawei centre

Only issue was there was a dirt spec caught under it i noticed last night. the guy said there is a 7 day re-do policy for just such an issue. So going back for that today.
This cost R300.

There was a similar thing at the Cell C shop with some fancy shmancy branding etc but the demo units they showed me had rough edges and the film had a matt (anti glare) finish which i dont like.

The mobile outfitters one is much stronger though
 
Anyone been able to figure out how to replicate the Menu button double tap action (to switch to the last app used) with the gestures navigation?
 
Finally got my 3rd replacement with a BOE screen. Super chuffed that there is 0 green screen bleed. Hats off to Huawei for fantastic service, considering the fact that my original device was purchased outside of SA.

You can get the serial in the About Phone and book through HiCare. No need for the original invoice
 
I just walked into the Service Centre about an intermittent microphone issue (P20 Pro), they replaced the mic whilst I waited, no documentation required.

However, the problem persisted and it appears to be an MTN VoLTE issue .. which MTN denied prior to me going to Huawei. Have now disabled VoLTE.
 
Anyone seen any good/better deals on this phone yet? (other than the R699 Telkom deal)
 
December Update just arrived.

Due for an upgrade soon, is the Mate 20 worth it? Is the GT watch supported by Discovery/Vitality? Couldn’t find any info.
 
Thinking of getting a Mate 20, been with IPhone for over 8 years, how hard is it going to be to change all my data over to Huawei?
 
Most of is easy to do, even sms can be transfered. The issue that I have run into is WhatsApp, it backs up into iCloud on iOS and GDrive on Android. I couldn't get them to talk to each other last time I had to do this.

Maybe things have changed?

Use phone clone to transfer most data. On iPhone sync everything else to Gmail.

Copy the whatsapp folders from old device to new, and hit restore
