Price for that screen is good. From some private guy I got a quote of R1400 for an iPhone 5 screen

Only gripe so far, keyboard lag... Any fixes? Other keyboards maybe?
Try Swiftkey
How do I update to B125? I'm still on B119 and no OTA available
I got it from here http://huaweinews.com/2013/12/ascend-p6-b125-firmware/
Is there no official release as of yet? Don't feel like messing with unofficial stuff like I did with my Note 2... Bricked it twice (and luckily fixed it both times)
The wait is almost over for Hauwei Ascend P6 owners for get the latest version of Android. China Mobile customers are already rolling out Android 4.4 Kitkat and an wider launch is coming!
Huawei Ascend P9 users were promised Android 4.4 Kitkat all the way back in January, but it is only today that Chinese customers (and only those on China Mobile) are receding the update!
Like the previous version of Android on the P6, Android 4.4.2 KitKat has been treated to Huawei’s own Emotion UI skin (like it or not) bringing their own feel to the OS.
The bad news is that only China Mobile users i.e. TD-SCDMA phones are getting the update, and this isn’t the OS international users need for their phones, so you will have to wait for the China Unicom WCDMA update. The good news is that those who have tested the update say it is very smooth and stable.
Thanks to Sami for the tip.
My wife has had the phone for six and a half months and still extremely happy with it.
I updated it to B125 (full flash rather than OTA so back to default settings) last week and it has made a massive difference (previously on B119). Overheating has (mostly) stopped, battery life much better and lag has mostly disappeared.
MY BAD!!
I take this does void the warranty?
Then how did you get B119? Because that were also an “official leaked" firmware that became available in November 2013, the only official non-Chinese firmware available on the Huawei site is still B111. I got my P6 with B107 but when I checked there were no OTA available and I had to download the B111 from Huawei and installed it manually. I am now on an “Official leaked” B125 that I installed as per Huawei instructions.
Crisis averted. First updated to B125 firmware (official) and the Wi-Fi problems persisted. Would freeze the entire network every time I connected. Then tried to flash TWRP recovery via ADB and Fastboot but the B125 firmware has a locked bootloader. So I downloaded the latest 4.4 KitKat beta firmware, flashed it, rebooted, then tried to flash TWRP again and it worked. The KitKat firmware does has an unlocked bootloader. Now downloading GAPPS for 4.4 to flash and all should be well again.
So in trying to get the Wi-Fi working properly I landed up with a rooted, 4.4 KitKat phone with the latest Gapps. Awesome...
