There's bound to be repercussions if you continuously bad mouth an ex in front of a current.

why be in a relationship where you told to be and act as someone you are not. saying its okay to not collect maintenance to one day make a child see the truth is just wrong. to teach values that you have to pay your dues can never be wrong

My first thoughts : thank the spaghetti monster I never got married or had kids.

Sort out the maintenance and find a place of your own. No need to have two idiots in your live.
