Has anyone tried running both Office 2003 & 2007 (different programs) on the same computer? I have an Access 2003 database with a lot of customisations but want to upgrade the rest of Office to 2007. I expect a lot of the customisations will have to be modified if I want to use Access 2007 (as was the case when moving from 2000 to 20003). Therefore I’m thinking of uninstalling all of Office 2003, excluding Access, and installing Office 2007 without Access of course. Did anyone sucessfully do something similar before?

Hi Borrels

I'm running 2003 & 2010 .... they tend to battle for default app supremacy (Word, etc.) which proves to be annoying. That said though I think you should be able to remove all but one subapp (Access) of 2003 and install the remaining 2007 apps. The libraries of 2007 should be downward compatible with those of 2003. I speak under correction of course.

Goodluck :D

PS - Just sore DL's response - spot on!

install 2003 first then add then next but don't upgrade what you don't need and do for the rest on a custom install
