iOS8 without a developer account

I honestly wouldn't bother. I have a dev account and ios 8 beta 5. I can honestly say that it's crap. Slow and buggy on my iPhone 5. It is nowhere near ready for a GM seed. Unless Apple have been secretly working on beta 6 and GM. They so far have not seeded an new beta. This to me has been by far the worst beta testing ever.

I wouldn't try it either. The iOS beta is only meant for developers. You could try it if you had an extra iOS device lying around but would definitely not install it on my daily used iPhone.

Well I'm running Yosemite which to me is completely stable, so thought iOS8 might be in the same state. But yeah sounds like it's best to give it a skip for now.

Also running yosemite dp6 as my daily driver on my MacBook Air. Runs perfectly. No issues. Stable. Just ios 8 is not worth it at this point.

Yep, Yosemite is meant for public testing and iOS is not. It is meant for developers to test their apps on for when the OS comes out.

agreed. iOS8 is bad still. plenty plenty issues. Yosemite is amazing, not biggest upgrade but improvements are stuff i can use. #win

Just wait the two or three months till they officially release it?

it works, and iOS8 is nice, very nice, but as soon as you reboot your phone it wont reboot(if you dont have a dev account) , it will get stuck on a activation screen

Works just fine, rebooted a number of times by now when I didn't charge it in time.

i loaded the first beta, ( no dev account) and on reboot, my phone wouldnt carry on, activation failed, maybe they changed it now?

Yes as was illustrated by the link this trick only works since Beta 5.
