Yeah just download the files to your device.
Thanks. I've often wondered what the app might offer that was worth paying for, this might be it.
Yeah just download the files to your device.
How does that work? Does it store the video files locally on the iPad?
I do that via safari so I have never seen the point of the app.Yeah no plugging in or doing sync or any of that nonsense.
Just choose what you want a sync to the local device and it converts it if required etc.
But I don't use it like that at all, I just know it's there. I stream all my stuff from the Plex Server.
Always had the app so the browser just seems very messy to me.
It's cheap as chips anyway.
In the App Store Plex is free but has a monthly IAP of $5.
Do you need the 5 bucks option for the main purposes?
Wish I'd read that before paying for the app - $5 wasted.Okay seems the Sync option is part of the pass.

I'm not sure what you need to pay for? The App should be free?
Only the Plex Pass costs money which means you've paid for 1 month of Plex Pass.
But regardless of this it's a super app to be using in home.
The app is free but there is an in-app purchase to make it more functional. For example you can't stream for longer than a minute without the purchase.
Unfortunately this added functionality does not extend to local content.
I'm using AirvideoHD. Not free but decent.
Also running Kodi but you'll need jailbreak for that. Lovely on the iPad Air!
I used Air Video way back in 2010; it did not have the "HD" part then.
It worked excellent.
It's had a massive facelift. It is brilliant!!
