iPhone 14 discussions

Surprising to see that out of the top 10 phones sold last year Apple holds eight of the positions and the other two are cheap Samsungs.

it would be interesting to see if they lifted the Huawei sanctions though?

I don’t think I’ve seen a company move from 6th to 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd ( and briefly first?) as fast as Huawei managed to move through the sales rankings .Technically, I think they were also a few years ahead of everyone else. I don’t think a manufacturer has produced a better camera in the last few years? That probably aided their sales rates.

They (MrWhosetheboss) also gives #1 reason for people moving to iPhone being Huawei. In my case, that was definitely true.

So I think with the biggest competitor out the way, it should be much easier for Apple to maintain the lead.

Not in SA/ZA (like it would ever come)
This service — which has already helped users in emergency situations in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, and the U.K. — will come to Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal later this month.

This is insane, the 1st and 2nd most expensive iPhones in 2022 are in the top 3 bestsellers, had a look at Counterpoint’s website, the 14 Pro Max sat at number 1 for the duration that it was available in 2022  it got pushed to number 2 by the non-pro 14 which is to be expected.

I’d be curious to see where the 14 Plus landed up as from what I’ve read the 14 Plus seems to not have turned out to be the big sell Apple thought it would be…or another theory, Apple knew the iPhone 14 Plus would not be a bigger seller and would instead due to its odd price push more people to spend a little more and just get a 14 Pro Max, in which case the 14 Plus mission has been a success and operation “take ‘em to the cleaners” has succeeded…

Emergency SOS is finally enabled in the southern hemisphere (Oz & NZ).

My 14 PM that I’ve had since launch:

Wonder how much time these okes spend on their phones every day…

Keep in mind, you have the pro max which you probably only need to charge every second day?

The normal pro requires more frequent charging anyways besides maybe being used more?

Also sometimes people use generic charging bricks which also mess up the battery
