iPhone 14 discussions

I’d say my phone isn’t doing bad … 11 months in: 14 Pro Max. I don’t massage it or do anything special, just charge it overnight and not again during the day.

It seems the 14 and 14 Pro aren't really much different to previous models wrt battery health.

Nah had a 12 Pro for 14 Months and the battery when I sold was 90%

14 Pro is at 88% after 10 months.

Same usage. They definitely screwed me with the 14 Pro

Edit: Had the 12 Pro for 24 months lol. Have the Carb thread to prove it

I was the other way around, my 12 last battery health like crazy, it was low 80's in a year, my 14 Pro is still at 100%.

I thought the 12 was the worst battery I had had since the 3Gs.

Phone fixed and working fine. iOS 17.0.3 seems to have helped my battery as well. Low Power Mode is part of a Fs Mode to keep notifications off at night

Apple gives iPhone 14 users an extra year of free emergency SOS via satellite

Apple promised two years of free Emergency SOS via satellite when it announced the iPhone 14 series last September but it is now extending the service for another additional year free of charge. The feature allows users to contact emergency help in areas without cellular connectivity.

Apple specifies that the free trial will be extended “for iPhone 14 users who have activated their device in a country that supports Emergency SOS via satellite prior to 12 a.m. PT on November 15, 2023”. Emergency SOS is currently supported in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., and the U.S.

Battery life has taken a knock with 17.1.1

Hello. I accidentally placed my phone on a wet surface. I immediately removed it and dried the device. Has the water been able to damage my phone ( for example, maybe the sounds)?
Probably not, iPhone is water resistant, a wet surface is hardly going to cause damage. Are you noticing any obvious issues?
