Iphone 7plus camera just black, no flash

Weird problem. My wifes iPhone 7plus camera just shows a black screen. As if there is something infront of the lens. Flash and torch also doesn't work.

Tried reboot, reset and even full restore...

Is it toast?

Worse of all its literally 3 weeks out warranty.

Camera probably disconnected from the board.

Should be a reasonably cheap fix.

If they know what they're doing then they should replace the seals too but just avoid getting any electronic device near water that isn't designed for it.

I don't see why not.

You could even try it yourself...I'm willing to bet one of the connectors popped loose. If not then it's a camera replacement.

Out of interest does the Front Camera work? If not it may very well be a software problem.

Looking at the guide now seems the Flash and Camera assembly aren't one and the same thing.

So you seem to have a deeper problem there.

Does the Flash work as the torch function?

Front cam is fine. And nope flash is dead too.

Very unlikely that the camera connector came off as its held in place by a plate and 3 screws, unless the phone has had a screen repair before and they forgot to put the plate back.Otherwise you going to need a new camera replacement.

Never been repaired.
