Cool - today ... !! I am only assuming the i-App referred to in the article will be the AppStore. I'm also keen to see pricing. I hope (but I have my doubts) that they will launch some "only with an iPhone" cool data deals [the main thing I'd love to see is xxMB data but with NO 30 day expiry]

you can still download or upload music to it, just not in a legal way :D

You can upload mp3's ripped from cd's you actually own, thats kinda legal i suppose :o

Dollenberg on cheap drugs

Old Dollenberg the avid iphone fan makes up things like iApp, wth? Further he is most waiting for mobileMe, has he gone bananas? The system doesnt work and Apple has already apologised for it. So I think the Times went and totally got the wrong guy for this exercise.

Considering our app store has about 10% of the apps found in the US/UK/anywhere else in the world's app store - and its the worst 10% - i wouldn't hold my breath that the mobileMe service will even work here for at least a year.

If you are buying the iPhone, I hope its because you want a phone that can play music (which incidentally tons of normal phones can do). Otherwise, I would recommend waiting till our app store gets an upgrade and maybe we finally get an iTunes store. By that time, you could probably get a 64gb iPhone for half the price of the 16gb.

Dollenberg should really read up on the fiasco that is/was Mobileme before gaaning aan about it like that..

btw: of course it can be used for music. only not _buying music via iTunes_ but that's hardly the same thing now is it. but i guess that was the intention of posting this article huh..

What is the launch?

Meant to say what time is the launch
