Anyone here tried the Hisense 43 UHD? I know it's a budget TV but is it more low end or decent? Any HDR?
 
Hi, basically on my way to purchase a new LCD, LG 60" LED NANO CELL DISPLAY - 60SJ800, loaded in my cart, just need a final sanity check for R 16 999. The 65" is priced at R 24 999 but the extra 5" is probably not worth the extra 8K. I will be replacing a 55" Hisense FHD Panel.

Any thoughts?
 
Sounds nice. Post some pics of it when you get it.

60" is a good size.

Yeah, I asked their service centre to escalate, they have logged a complaint.

I might file a claim with my insurance. TV is insured for R16k, I'll ask for a payout and then add R14k to get the LG C7.

I'll fix the TV and give it to my boet, he's been using my 2009 40" Sony LCD panel, shame

Maybe wait to see what they say.

Samsung were great - but their 3rd party service place stinks - you really have to fight. I had a large patch of area that was less contrast and much brighter than the rest. My mom (and even the Samsung service guy!) could see nothing. But it bugged me like hell!

After the 2 years has passed (ie now out of warranty - they could tell me to jump) they still offered a R12,000 trade in on the screen to get a new one

LOL for Shame.
I have a Sony 40inch FHD LCD.
This thing is still going strong after about 9 or 10 years.
Picture is still great, plays all content I throw at it, sound could be better i suppose, but I do need a soundbar.

I have a 2006 LA46A550 Samsung that is still working perfectly as a spare TV but using a KS8000 60" as a main tv the spare collects a lot of dust

only if it had been due to lightning/power surge, otherwise it would be fraud.

this looks like electronic failure, and from my research it is very unlikely that the whole screen is at fault - most likely a t-com board or LED driver module.

taking it to tvworld in Kraaifontein for a second opinion, their assessment fee is only R250

About a month ago, maybe just over. They had about 4 left. Not sure what they have now? I saw a pamphlet recently that showed QLED going for around 20k? same premium TV's range

I just find they are more negotiable and have a professional relationship with BLING (premium installers from Samsung). You can actually go sit down with the manager who makes a plan for you.

I've bought from game & makro numerous times, but have always had problems with them :/

Must've been a clearance special then. I find them consistently more expensive than pretty much everywhere else usually.
 
If youre in JHB, visit the fourways branch and speak to Jerome (branch manager). He's always made a plan.
