Pics of the 2nd Hisense 55T36... Sigh, will call HifiCorp in the morning. I think by the end of this they are going to want to give me my money back...

So basically myself and the other forumite (iceman?) were right, Hifi Corp salesmen and warranty handlers do not know what they are selling, talking about, recommending, etc.

Sad when you understand how many levels this filters down to. And it isn't only a problem with cheapie brands.

Keen to start a thread out of buyers' best interests where LCD/LED-LCD and even plasma owners can post pics of their screens displaying black images. It would rock the industry, could be dangerous.

I'm glad none of my LCDs (ByD:sign & Sansui), nor my LED (LG) looks anything like this, not even close.

Next, please answer my earlier question, by explaining which LCD/LCD technologies besides "full array local dimming" LG uses in its high end LCDs.

Is there any possibility this thread could focus on LCD & Plasma bargains rather than serve as a platform for these petty personal feuds?

+1 maybe an 'Arguing about LCD-and-Plasma and LED' thread...

Guys, can't a thread be created where arguing the technologies can be done, and leave this thread for actual bargains etc...? I loved this thread initially, but now find myself wading through arguments looking for deals posted.

There are actually a few of these threads going now that are supposed to be aimed at gadget or TV bargains, but have deteriorated.

The op can link to the threads arguing the technologies so those that are interested can go read them. Personally I don't care for anything other than LCD/LED TVs and would like to keep monitoring this thread for related bargains.

Can't the mods of this section maybe tighten up on this? Perhaps even move the OT posts to a Plasma vs LCD / LED thread or something. Who's meant to be the mod around here anyway?
