Linux Huawei modem E169 USSD support for balance check ?

Hi,

could you refer me to a nice command line tool, a package for sending USSD commands to a serial port opened with Huawei cellular modem E169 or any other cellular modem, to me query for balance info under Linux ?

Sorry, there are none in the standard repos - we have checked at work as we need to do the same thing to monitor USSD services for our clients.
