Indeed, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits which should give the HDR content that pop

Selected movie mode as the color preset and turned off adaptive brightness and wow, colors are so vivid and pop!

Still playing around but what an upgrade from my Hisense 65g8600

And it gets so bright! Would strongly recommend

You don't need brightness according to some, nits are wasted :).

I watched some rugby and moto gp 1080p highlights on YouTube. There's no ghosting or hectic processing going on. Noticed some lack of clarity tracking fast moving scenes which increasing the motion and judder settings seem to improve. This is upscaling so a 4k stream should be better.

@TStringList What are the ideal settings you settled on?

My wife is gatvol of me adjusting the TV settings :D

Motion?
Color?
Preset ?

Currently im tweaking the movie preset which seems to be rather accurate and gives depth in scenes. Motion, have judder and blur set to 4 respectively.
Contrast at 55, brightness at 85 ( room is quite bright with all the windows)

Edit: What HDMI cable are you using, seems im limited to 4K 60hz, might need to buy 2.1 cable

You'd need to get 2.1 cables for 120hz and 4k. Though also check your ports as sometimes some are 2 and others are 2.1

They’re in the correct ports
I suspect its the cable

If I play a video meant for 120hz, the 60hz video seems to be the exact same

Video?? What are you plugging in? Generally it's consoles that are 120hz

Hey guys, can you please comment on gaming, if one of you have a PS5?

I'm thinking of getting the 75" C755. I sit about 2.5m away from the TV so it should be very cinematic :D
 
I'm tempted to get the 85 TCL...... I'm assuming it'll be great for Xbox?

According to reviewers this tv (TCL) is great for gaming with its low input lag in game mode

You can follow the RTINGS review on the TCL QM7, it ticks the boxes when it comes to gaming consoles, especially with its 144Hz capabilities
 
All I can say regarding 85”
Damn it’s immersive, I feel locked in.

My JBL 5.1 (10” sub) compliments the cinematic feel. I’m seated 4m away and it feels too big. Im starting to get used to it. But Ive been glued to the seat for hours

It does have a rather red tint to it, luckily it’s easy to adjust and correct that red dominance. Movie mode and bump the red down a bit and it feels natural.
I’ve turned off the motion judder setting completely now and sports seem fine, the balls don’t ghost as much anymore. The Hisense U7N at kloppers felt like it was skipping frames to keep fast paced balls in motion.

How far are you from the TV? I just moved so my living room is a bit smaller

Congrats and enjoy! The 85" must be so immersive.

I'm using Movie mode and have judder set to 3 and blur set to 0.

Contrast is set to 73 and I have dynamic and local contrast switched off.

Found strange blur and ghosting behind sport scenes with judder and blur, turned it off and set the refresh to performance mode, seems to have cleared that issue up at least

No artefacts or strange processing around fast moving objects as well

Movie mode as well
Contrast is at 65
Local contrast and dimming to high
This gave me the deepest blacks without crushing the detail.
Dynamic contrast has this weird effect around objects that made it look fake, so thats turned off as well.
