I'm in the market for a VoIP service provider that offers an unlimited calling plan or at least a fixed bundle. Please! Give your recommendations. Most people recommend Freshphone after Switch Telecom, but I can't go with Switch Telecom because they blacklisted me. I know there are ways to get it, but I don't want to do business with them. Freshphone only offers the PAYG (pay as you go) plan. @Vox Customer Service offers a cheap bundle, but I haven't received any feedback from users. Afrihost (@Afrigirl ) and Axxess only offer a fixed airtime bundle, unlike a fixed voice (minutes) bundle. Vodacom is expensive. I was just looking for a simple, single-line bundle offering so I could stay within my budget without any worries. Thank you for your time.

Not to many companies doing Unlimited calling plans in SA, VOX is probably your best bet. But unlimited can be smoke and mirrors as very often you have to rack up quite a large bill to make it worth while. If a provider is charging per second billing at a low rate it can work out alot cheaper than an unlimited package.

I think Websquad offers 100 minutes for like R60 per month.

Vox is very cost-effective in my opinion, with unlimited calls within SA for around R171/month.

Does anybody know whether it is only Telkom that offers OpenServe’s landline over fibre service, through which you can plug an analogue phone directly into the fibre ONT and they sort out the SIP gateway etc on the back-end? Vox and others can provide VoIP - but seemingly only if you plug VoIP equipment into their network, or buy your own SIP/POTS gateway. Seems a strange limitation when OpenServe offers this throughout its network and its equipment is set up for this?

That is a good price, most likely round about 3-4 hours of calls using a per second service, so if you are talking more than that then it is certainly worth it, if not, you are better off signing up for a pay as you go service.
