Looking for SUV..

The older tiguans had smaller boots than others ...the new one probably isnt much bigger

Would have taken the older Tiguan R, but paying more then 300k for a 4/5 year old car with no maintenance plan is crazy, although i loved the vehicle that much. Head had to overwrite the heart unfortunately.

My final choices was between the Mokka X, Kuga and the CX-5. In the end, the looks, features, space and reliability of the Mazda won the day.

Typical of the german brands hey
Can make an exception if you value you and your families lives and want lasting quality. BMW beats the rest in these aspects. Not to mention the status.

BMW's are a lot more expensive than the amount available. If he had the money to pay for it, he could have gone for the Mercedes GLC diesel. I have one and my fuel consumption is 6.2 l/100 km on my regular commute. 4.9 l/100 km at 120 km/h on the open road and 6.5 l/100 km in urban driving.

It also has everything he wants and more as far as driving aids are concerned. Unfortunately one sometimes have to pay more to save more.

I am finding VW so expensive compared to everything else out there. The Tiguan is a fantastic looking car though.

If you don't need 7 seats the normal tiguan should be fine. And for that budget you could get a nice low mileage one.

Thanks, had a look at the NTTVW site. Those cars are coming in at a very basic spec at that price

I didnt consider this. Had a quick look now, it doesnt look very refined, and i am not sure if its the pics, but the boot looks small.

Decent pricing though. I think i need to go see it in person.

It is a bakkie with a big top. ;)

Boot is not small. Trust me. We had three suitcases, one duffel bag, Christmas presents, baby chair, running stroller, baby diapers, two laptops, camera equipment and a few odds packed for the holidays. Yes. It was fully packed

Only issue is that it has a slight tilt due to seats that fold down.

And it is really comfortable on the open road.

Also look at the Fortuner.

Fortuner is seen as too high risk - will not consider it.
