LucidView mobile uncapped feedback

youtube HQ still buffers now and then on my phone.

Normal quality no buffering.

That for me is perfect for a product like this. I'm driving poor Tarryn nuts because I just sent her an email asking if I can maybe still try it for a month instead of cancelling. I feel like the worst customer ever. I cancelled before it even got here then I get the sim and they ask if they can come collect it and I say yes and then I say, hmmm is it too late to not cancel.

I will have to send Tarryn flowers after this whole thing.

No no. What you did was perfectly understandable. Might also retract my cancel if service improves, and we can actually pull 10GB - 15GB (because at this price this is where the competition lies).

From the ridiculous to the sublime

Is this what it supposed to be like, was there a glitch in the system - i don't know....I can only garner from the rep's comments earlier yesterday where he stated this is a 'chit-chat' service thus vindicating the poor performances.

Now this, unshackled, it is beautiful... However, my sober mind believes it is unsustainable at these levels, the abuse will be inevitable, how Lucidview proposes to contain usage, I don't know....

If it remains at these levels, conceivable with some sort of fair-usage-system in place, it would be fair to re-evaluate the product and provide the necessary feedback, as it develops.

I wouldn't hesitate to retract the cancellation - if the service remains usable as is.

They will prioritise.

A breath of fresh air: www.filehippo.com going at around 60KB/s.

Google related websites still issues. Trying to load www.tinypic.com and google-analytics is hanging the loading.

EDIT: Yep, everything google related is CRAP.

Quick Update: 18h30 - presumably peak-hour.

1.Connection is working well still.
2.absolutely zero hiccup loading normal websites.
3.No dreaded "blocked/denied'' messages.
4. laggy with FB and HTTPS sites, still very usable.
5.Youtube streaming at 144 no problem.
6.Downloading a small file @ 15-20KB/s - I, however, have a 3.6GB Win 8.1 upgrade looming :p - (not on this product tho)
7. Audio streaming with winamp does not connect.
8. Google maps won't connect.

All round, pretty satisfied with the performance as is, considering the time of day and if the assigned priorities at this point are active because of congestion, and should this be the true user experience henceforth, then all good to go. These reviews, however, remain dynamic - user experience may change tomorrow.

EDIT: 19h00

1. FB won't load
2. Google search won't work.

They must sort out Google, everything with Google doesn't work, many websites are nifty, but many many websites still take forever and timeout.

Anyone tried online gaming?

Did you see the ping for category 1? ~150ms.

Back to normal. No Facebook or Google or 90% of the Internet. YouTube 144p fine though.

Hit & miss it seems...
I would have been frustrated looooong ago

I reckon the software they using to manage the throttle is up to ***.
Google is probably largely blocked due to the massive flood that would result if it was opened - google runs the internet, not just email or search its all the associated services incl file/image/docs hosting etc
Or they trying to randomly spread a few gbs a day over their entire block of provisioned sims per day and they release the bandwidth in dribs and drabs so yr hopes go up and doooooowwn. Hahaha

Maybe early days, most providers choke when they hit the flood of demand in the first few days of a new product hitting the market and then smooth out the bumps as things go. But they do really seem to be pushing the priority for chat products which need min bandwidth and giving little else to anything else.

Google and co seem fine. No Facebook or Twitter though. 99% HTTPS sites just won't work. Radio streams dead. SoundCloud is a no go. YouTube inaccessible. Google Play Store seems fine an Android. Experience bad!
