LucidView mobile uncapped feedback

Well, it's usability is coverage dependable. So you had sucky Cell c signal. Seeing that the product is on the MTN network, why not consider Afrihost Mobile? 10GB for R197 (subject to change after Nov. But they'll not disappoint) at full throttle everything on all protocols and no stupid copyright infringement. I also use Afrihost Mobile. And I know for certain I'm going to get 10GB, and nice specials like the R99 3GB top up. With this product you pay R199, but only going to do <1GB. Also, the latency for priority 1, did you see it? As someone who VOIP's a lot, certainly that would be important. All pings are 150ms+, on Afrihost Mobile, you get 30-50ms local. Explore options.
 
This whole exercise cost me R199 for +/- 2mb and 3 days of struggling . Could not get anything going.

That's just bad man.

Well, I at least managed close to 500MB (because, the download priority was relaxed yesterday evening | Now there aren't downloads at all on the product, what a shame).
 
Is it possible for an ISP to block the 3G/HSDPA connection and allow EDGE to work?

Don't kno. But top level ISP would be able to do so, I'd think.

Side note; On the ban, even internet APN don't work, data is rendered void. So, sim card useless, after I finish using the airtime left (R35), it's seeing the rubbish bin.

Ok cool. I guess after four days of 'usage' enduring wild changes in the ToS's, unusable network, subversion tactics and basically wasting my time and money, the SIM card deserves no other place but inside a dustbin .
 
I am under the impression they using the same same pipeline example 100 meg connection and throttling everyone connection to allow 1000 users to use this product or else it wouldn't be useable at all.

It was fun, really enjoyed it well it lasted! Thank goodness I sent in my cancellation before the time or else would have gone crazy if charged for November.

Once a company changes their TOS forth nightly you have to wonder if this company actually know how to run their network.

Typical of them. If it was someone high up with s 1000> post then I could side with them but someone who recently joined the forum and starting posting begin of October shouldn't be listened 2. Amazing they have a representative on here but they nowhere to be seen are they afraid of irate customers.

Cancelled my service. Phoned my bank as well to cancel the debit order with immediate effect.

If this service operated smoothly then I would give thumbs up but from day 1 people will moaning and complaining, already I have grey hairs struggled but I am not an irate customer at all.
 
Lol LS69 and ElsabieN, both joined during October 2013 just to promote a product that's obviously flawed. How desperate and sad can a company get.

Intention: Conjure up positive reviews to con more people.
Result: Reeks of desperation to save face and ends up hurting them more.

If they (LV) would admit to their issues and were forthright from the get go about what the service was really for, it would still be palatable, but the multiple changing of ToCs and creation of these profiles leaves a really bad taste in one's mouth.

My impression from the original article on MyBB was that it was an uncapped service that would be limited to an extent -a watered down version of mtn's uncapped lite, if you will. MyBB should do a revised article explaining that this is now a R199 p/m chat service -especially after all the ToCs changes.

My throughput is almost zero since yesterday - maybe I have been locked-out too or MTN's network is currently bad, therefore I won't be able to give any objective feedback henceforth!
 
We are clearly working through some "teething problems" on the ChitChat product, thus we have decided to provide October 2013 free of charge, meaning payments made for October, are now credited against November 2013.

LucidView will gladly provide a full refund to anyone who is disappointed about the policy change and no longer wishes to continue with "ChitChat", on request.

they offering refunds at least , will request a refund then.
 
Network is much much better today.

I'm still unsure of what is allowed or punishable on their network. They must stipulate a clear and unambiguous description of this product. To sanction a user by blocking the SIM for indiscretions he made when policy shifts are ex post facto is madness.

If VPN's, streaming, P2P etc are disallowed then the onus rests with them and not on the user to manage that - they have a formidable system to police and enforce it.

See what happens...tomorrow may bring something new. For now, I'm just too busy with studies to provide much feedback.

At least they acknowledge the teething-problems, and offer to make good on October month - a right step in the right direction, thank you.

Regardless they have to refund you.. Your cancellation is only effective on 31st October.. As you will notice ur MTN is working.. except for the internet APN
