Manual vs Automatic

Had primarily automatics my whole life. I love dual clutches too. I have no intention to move a stick around in traffic

Is that meant to be a Mercedes with the foot/handbrake on the left? Because I don't remember that pedal being that large or in the way. It was always tucked up right against the left side and 1/4 the size of the clutch pedal.

*****

Also the most horrific car to drive in manual because of this. Delayed drive by wire throttle combined with instant release "hand" brake was a disaster waiting to happen every time.

Driving a manual deserves it's place in the "Old Ballie" museum alongside black and white TVs, bunny ears, telephone booths, dial-up modems and school reports from the days when there were "Standards" and not grades.

The future is now, old man. Automatic cars with driver assistance, fibre, 5G smartphones and 4K HDR Smart TVs all the way.

I could see a reason for a manual if you can't afford an auto, or if you're so rich that you want a fast weekend car with a manual gearbox to relive your youth.
