The Diner in Krugersdorp. R149 I think but we used an Entertainer voucher and got it for free.

Yankees used to do a monster burger.
size of a pizza, had 4 eggs on top and you could not see the eggs from the side and they did not touch in the middle.

the last time I had a Monster Burger from Yankees was in 2003.
there was 6 of us.
we ordered 4 Burgers.
I ate one, a friend ate one, another friend are one, and 3 other friends shared one.

the 3 of them could not finish the burger, and left a quarter.

considering back then I was in good shape and weighed 69KG, and the other 2 who finshed one each were all over 100KG (tall family trust me) I was very proud of myself.

there is a forumite here who I was friends with who will know the Pieters Brothers I am talking about.

I think the Burgers were R80 each. and a king steer at the time was like R35 or something like that. it was a long time ago.

wonder if there are any Yankees still around the east rand...

We had Yankees down in Cape Town as well, tried it once, as I do with most things in life.

Those did look massive and boy that was a fight and a half getting those down in one sitting. Not exactly sure if it was 100% the same as you describe though.

PS... currently 70kg @ 1.82m tall, I'm still trying to perfect the fine art of couchpotatoism, reckon I keep getting closer every week.

all the big eating has done its job.

I am now 96kg @180cm

went from 69kg in 2009 to 96kg now, all because I stopped drinking.

Please do. I wanna see this ausie burger ure talking about.
I'll see of I can do the weekend.

Its a stuff of legend only 45 bucks. Solid home made. Massive massive patties grease eggs, bacon lettuce all. On a burger

Don't know if it still exist, but there was a place in Parow called Yankees Burger. Ask for the King Kong Burger.
Years back in Goodwood, there was a 24/7 place that used to sell this size burgers and massive foot longs. Think it was called Meckas or something.

not the biggest, but I was at Rocco Mama's last night.
I had the CrackerJack. again. I have had 12 of these since the special started.

bacon dripping in maple syrup, lettuce, tomato, and Tortila chips for a bit of crunch.

this combo is the best thing I have ever tasted on a burger.

Thor, why not try this instead, beats the 2 minute nooldes if you can get it for free.

Franks Diner in Sea Point

PS..... it's also 900g in total

The bacon should be cooked with the maple syrup - this just sounds nasty.

What is this Entertainer thing that everyone is talking about?

It's pretty much like a voucher app, where you can get "buy one get one free" deals Restaurants, spas, hotel stays, you can even book venues. Pretty cool. Been using it for about 2 years.

Get a yuuge steak mushroom. manufacture a beef patty just as big. lots & lots of cheese. Find a big enough bun. Chopped tomoto. Raw onion rings. Whatever sauces you want. Melt at least half the cheese into the mushroom. Put together. Remember to fry mushroom and patty and toast bun.
