Mind the speed ISP

I am not in any hurry - will wait to see what the new year brings

When did the 20 package become asymetric, I would have just gone back to to 20/20

The 10/10 package was dropped, now 20/10 is the entry level. This happend in July 2021 when Vuma dropped prices and MTS kind of pushed all packages up one category.

Will also be comparing to see if I should stay with MTS or change. Essentially going from R916 to R985 with the price increase and the new fee for a fixed IP. Do all ISP's charge for a fixed IP?

At least you got the small increase :X3: Mine comes in at around 13% or 14%. R790 to R895, not sure right now what that works out to. My brain is fried.

Same here. I'm taking comfort in the fact that it's still cheaper than the R980 (?) we used to pay for the same speed. It isn't much but it's some sort of a consolation.

Yep, it's still cheaper than my other options and I am quite happy with the service so going to stick with MTS, not to say that the increase doesn't sting, it definitely stings a bit

Really guys? the guys doing price increases now are prepping for next year's **** storm, so fair warning people still offering free months and low-cost connections. The party is about to stop, you're going to get nailed either way.

Should have incl this in my response, most of them do, the mere fact MTS is now joining the pool is norm, level 7 for 1 charges R85 per static connection pm.

ITT: people coping with their decision
Or maybe, cancelling and transferring to a new ISP only to pay the same or more is pointless?
For those who are happy with the service it is utterly pointless to switch for no gain at all, who would do that?

For those unhappy with the service, well here's your chance you can switch to Afrihost and not worry about losing out since it's similarly priced now.

Earlier this year, Openserve when live in our area. Would you stay with Vuma or would you move to Openserve? As the prices are generally cheaper.

Move to Openserve. Teach Vuma a lesson.
