Router and sim was delivered today, but there's some data related issue with the sim, and it's been escalated with the networks people because neither the 1555, nor the 808 help desks could sort it out. What a bummer!
Does someone maybe know someone who might be able to look into this without me having to wait until who knows when before I can use my product?
I had the same issue, the problem is your sim card is not 100% active. Although you can connect, send sms and make calls you cannot receive data.
The support agents have no idea what the problem is, they will tell you that everything is 100% ok on your sim but its not.
Eventually after 24hours and a reboot the sim was working.
speedtest.net gives me 0.26mbps. Surely that can't be right?
Check which speeds you are connected at.
E.g 2G, 3G, HSDPA, etc.
go to http://192.168.1.1 and it will show you on the login screen.
It shows HSPA at the network type. Could it just be a location thing?
Speeds tend to start out at 300kbps and after about 1 hour of downloading they drop to between 30kbps - 120kbps.
If we read your post technically correct then you are saying 30 to 120 kilobits/sec? I assume/hope you mean kilobytes/sec? Please clarify.
Contracts are a much better way because you score more. Go for it.
