MWEB ADSL down?

Hi,

Client in the Northern Subs of CPT and cannot connect. Router is up but its not connecting. MWEB has some schpeel on their IVR about slow browing and email. Router has been kicked already but still no connection.

I had the same prob this morning and I'm in the Tokai area

Anyone else having same or similar prob?

Cannot get through to MWEB tech support - was on hold about 45mins and eventually hung up!

very weird though... network UP! router UP! adsl stuck on connecting. might be telscum line...

Anyone in the Plattekloof Panaroma area?
 
Been having issues since 7am basically! Thats basically the whole damn day now! This is so crap!
 
I've checked notices page and only the one below appears... Seems like network is fubar at the mo'. I cannot connect to my home network either

Where's the MWEB OPS dude that's normally in this forum? C'mon man...give us the inside scoop
 
I think youre wasting your time on hold there. Theyre just going to tell you 'we are aware of the problem and our engineers are working on it'. Its what they told me this morning at 11am.
 
What a surprise. A problem with Mweb.
Talk about the biggest hype and most awesome start leading to the worst and most disgraceful service.
This is utterly insane that I'm dealing with more problems with Mweb than i did with Hellkom.
To the point at which they've lied to me just to get me off the phone.
I really need a new ISP

I take it you didn't go for Virgin Mobile when they first came to SA?

At the start, they had 50c/MB (Out of Bundle (No bundles)), and no "on hold" tone, since the people picked up so fast...
 
MWEB is just sucking, IS users on teh Q3L server currently running with max 80 pings compared to MWEBS 420... The speed test says it all. Fine MWEB are having problems, but they're happening to often now and the idiots in technical support give less information than the actual recorded holding message...

I'm shopping - any reccomendations?

I'm prolly one of very few that enjoy the connectivity from MWEB but when the connection goes down, they can't explain it, hold for like 40mins, to speak to an agent for like 4mins and be disconnected, they become M-CUCK!!!!

AAARRGGGHHH!!!! Why does the connection have to be down when you really,REALLY need it! The dude(Duncan) I spoke to was nice and all but me thinks he disconnected the call cos his stats be having to look good! C'mon man...HOUSTON! WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!! My connection is UP/DOWN and my client(s) connections are dead in the water like the cruisers those Somali pirates are stealing

- No notice updates!
- No REAL info from agents!

Should I jump ship or not? When the connection gets tough...we go shopping for another ISP!!

Hi All

I am based in Alberton GP and I have been experiencing very slow mweb adsl for 2 days now. It is very frustrating as I use my adsl to run a business.

Strange thing is that I also have an mweb adsl at home and I have just popped home and that one is working fine, however it is on a different exchange.

The last post on this thread was yesterday, is anyone else experiencing problems with mweb adsl.

Sorry if this a bit too late but its dns issue just change your dns to either google dns or open dns and you should have your interwebs running again
